Open for the month of July in Maine! It would be hard to find a more authentic Maine experience than sailing with Captains Earl and Bonnie Mackenzie on the schooner they designed and built in Maine - Bonnie Lynn. Three cabins with double and single berths provide flexible accommodations for 6, with two guest baths. Separate en suite crew quarters are aft. Earl is a born and bred Mainer whose earliest memory is being on his father‘s lobster boat in Friendship, Maine. He has skippered yachts and work boats since his teens, served 20 years in the Coast Guard Reserves and was co-owner of a boatyard. Bonnie grew up in Michigan, joined the Peace Corps right out of college, traveled a lot and started sailing more than 20 years ago. She is a very accomplished cook – especially seafood, lobster & chowder - and caring hostess. They owned and operated the schooner Flying Fish, chartering in Maine for 13 summers, gathering ideas and planning the details that became Bonne Lynn. Both Earl and Bonnie have a keen interest in marine biology & maritime history, evidenced by the ship’s extensive library. The warm, relaxed atmosphere they create onboard brings guests back time and again. SUMMER 2007 RATES: $9,500/2 $11,000/4 $12,000/6 – incl x bar & dockage. Pays travel agent commission. |
