Dutch
design and Dutch craftsmanship create a modern classic that combines the
elegance of a true classic with thoroughbred sailing performance.
Launched in 1997, COPIHUE (pronounced cop-ee-way, after the national
flower of Chile) is in pristine condition following a circumnavigation
and recent six month refit at the Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth,
England.
COPIHUE offers luxury
accommodations for one couple or family party of up to five. The aft
master stateroom situated just forward of the cockpit offers optimum comfort and
privacy with en suite head & shower and private access to the cockpit. A
single pilot berth along the corridor to the master stateroom is ideal for a
child. Forward of the salon, the guest cabin with upper / lower singles
shares a generous bath and stall shower with the crew.
COPIHUEs’ breathtaking interior
is finished in contrasting gleaming varnished teak and white paneling with
traditional teak and holly flooring. A traditionally beamed deckhead
planked with Oregon pine create a truly spacious and elegant feel to the salon,
dining and sitting areas and her well outfitted galley and navigation station.
An elegantly curved low coach
roof was designed to be unobtrusive and a compliment to COPIHUE’s traditional
uncluttered deck layout. The spacious cockpit offers a very comfortable
seating and dining area forward of the steering station.
COPIHUE ‘s 34 year old English
captain Caleb Pearce is an excellent helmsman & engineer and is assisted by 3
crew who have sailing and chartering experience in the Mediterranean &
Caribbean. Profiles will be available shortly.
