"The entire AYCA seminar was great and Captain Virginia Wagner's talk was just excellent.  It is so helpful to have a captain's input on simple things like how to fly to the Grenadines to make the most of the client's charter.  This kind of information really helps me to do a better job for my clients."   - Attending Charter Broker

Captain Virginia Wagner of the 75' luxury catamaran MATAU  was the featured destination speaker at the AYCA seminar during the Newport Charter Show.  Entitled “Destination The Grenadines” Virginia began her talk by inviting listeners to "discover or rediscover the Grenadines – as a wonderful year round charter destination."  Using a Power Point presentation punctuated by maps and charter itinerary suggestions, Virginia's expertise on this beautiful charter destination was clear.  From her guidance on the unique 'not to be missed' offerings of the Grenadines, to her knowledge of where to find the best produce, fresh fish or specialty items to expert tour guides, to her suggestions for the the best spas, restaurants or night life. Virginia's knowledge and insight has been gained during her nearly 25 years of Caribbean charter experience. She shared information on, airports, airlines, ideas for specialized charter itineraries and land excursions -- complete with beautiful photographs of the Grenadines courtesy of Billy Black.  Virginia shared some fascinating insight into why the Grenadines remain her favorite cruising ground to share with charter guests.

During the yacht hop for yachts 80' + GALILEO had a happy crowd on board throughout the evening.   Her crew did a great job welcoming brokers on board, offering beverages, passing delicious hors d'oeuvres, keeping the yacht tidy and the plates of freshly baked chocolate chunk and white chocolate chip macadamia cookies accessible at all times!  For this fun evening the crew had adapted a “bad shirt day” theme with co-captain / engineer Jared's polyester blue number with orange & yellow sunflowers voted as our personal favorite!

WANDERER looked fabulous ...Tom
will do a great job..."

WANDERER – Captain Tom Hampson (x-Ashlana) and chef Tina showed well on this classic Little Harbor 62’with Tom’s expert first hand knowledge of New England especially beautiful “off the beaten path” coves in Maine. Said Captain Hampson: “Camden is a great place to start and finish a charter as it is easy to get to and is very beautiful. I think a very nice trip is Camden Harbor to North Haven Pulpit Harbor, then Dear Isle, Eggemoggen Reach, sail up to Castine, and back to Camden -- these areas are my favorite. The Eggemoggen Reach area is just beautiful with lots of quiet anchorages, one could spend several days just there. Depending on the length of the charter we could also include Rockport …”

Brokers shared the following comments on WANDERER & her crew:   “Wanderer looked fabulous and I think Tom will do a great job... the yacht is well maintained … very pretty, excellent condition ... her fabrics are very nice … the boat was kept very clean ... "crew are delightful for sure … captain seems very nice, quiet."
